The year 2015 is already started to wind down, and though we have been able to check out a nice assortment of new products , there hasn’t been much to share from the world of Windows Phone. Sure, we got those platform- agnostic Alcatel Onetouch Pixi 3 models , but nothing really high-end; anything like new Lumia will have to wait. Almost as if in a conciliatory gesture, Microsoft has decided to give us something to tide us over until its next major launch, and today announced plans to release new gold colour special editions of the Lumia 830 and Lumia 930.Both the 830 and 930 will be coming out in hardware that pairs your choice of either black or white plastic with an anodized golden trim. The 930 in black lands first, with sales starting this week, followed by the white version going up for sale closer to the end of the month.Both white and black golden 830s will hit retail sometime in February.
Ready for the bad news? Well – at least for some of you: Microsoft hasn’t shared any plans to sell these guys in the US. Instead, the gold 830 and 930 will find homes in Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and China. The gold 830 will additionally be available in India and Africa.There’s no word yet on pricing for both the phones.
