Yuvan change to islam

Music director Yuvan has cleared the air surrounding his recent decision to embrace Islam, in a detailed interview he has given to a leading newspaper, this morning. To the question on the reason for converting to Islam, he said he did not choose Islam but Islam chose him. He has said he has been reading books and acquiring knowledge regarding Islam for the past one and a half years. After getting frequent dreams which were beyond his interpretation skills, he had understood that he has been undergoing a spiritual experience and started reading the holy Quran which gave him the answers for the dreams he had and that's the way Islam chose him.Speaking about the reaction of his father the Maestro Ilayaraja who is a staunch Hindu spiritualist, he said that the Isaignani was initially shocked to know his son's decision but later reconciled and accepted with whole heart. Yuvan added saying that his siblings Karthik Raja and Bhavatharini have also accepted Yuvan's decision to follow a different  religion.

He has also rubbished as rumors, the news that say that director Ameer with whom Yuvan has worked for 5 films is instrumental in Yuvan taking this step. He also denied the charge that he has followed A.R.Rahman in converting to Islam with an intention to win Oscar awards like the latter.

Yuvan has also conveyed his displeasure over the media for misinterpreting a photo taken in actor Krishna's wedding. In the photo he was standing aside a friend's wife and the media had created a buzz stating that she is his third wife.
